today was the ex-girlfriend's birthday. we had sushi and made a cameo at karaoke, where she sang chaka khan. this is why i love her. i thought the night couldn't get any better (despite the whole us having to leave the bar super early so she could get back to her boyfriend thing), but when we got home, i got to pull my car into the garage. i took it joyriding in the cul-de-sac first. nothing too rowdy, just a few donuts and a figure eight. it was truly exhilarating.
i just learned that the plural of cul-de-sac is culs-de-sac. you'll thank me later.
