Sweet creamery butter!
First day off I've had in six days and I'm lovin' it. Been workin' a lot the last two weeks. Can't really complain, I need the hours. Fourth of July was awesome!
I helped set off about $200 worth of fireworks, I'm a lil bit tired and deaf--but the pyro in me is quite happy
I haven't blogged in awhile, but hey work = money = bills payed so what can a girl do? Anyway, I did check out a couple of movies in the last few weeks. Just in case anyone was thinking about it. Only one made my eyes bleed. Guess...
I went and checked out Don't Mess With the Zohan. Now you gotta understand I love Adam Sandler. I've seen most of his flicks, but I wasn't a big fan of Little Nicky. I also wasn't feelin' it with Zohan. Still, out of his many, many movies two strikes outs aren't all bad.
There was a definite eighties theme running throughout Zohan which was fine 'cause I loved the Wedding Singer and I liked the whole Jewish and Arabian super hero thing they had going on, but I felt like something was off. It wasn't as good as some of his other flicks. Might have been just me, though I noticed that not very many people in the theater were laughing or even chuckling and usually his movies have people bustin' a gut. So maybe it's not me. Oh well, he'll do better next time. In any case, I don't really know whether I should recommend this flick.
I'd say rent it before buying.
Get Smart... Solaniirex was right, this movie was hilarious! And it really has been awhile since I've seen something that's laugh out loud funny. I'd recommend it to anyone who just wants to kick back, relax, and laugh.
The Incredible Hulk...I wasn't sure I was going to like this one. I did like Ang Lee's version so I didn't know if this was going to be a continuing flick or its own movie. Turns out it doesn't really matter. Watch it. You'll like it.
I'm not even joking, it was really well done. The cast was great and I loved the storyline. To be honest, I couldn't really see Edward Norton as the Hulk, but I can definitely buy it now.
*Happy Dances* I can't wait for part two--and there will most definitely be a part two. If anyone watched Ironman, you'll notice hints of Stark Industries and SHIELD popping up from time to time. By the end of the movie you just know there's a cross over in the works. Bring it, baby!
Wanted...OMG Yes!
I had some notions about how the storyline was gonna go and I was completely blown away. Yeah sure, the cast was awesome, the car chases, fight scenes, and graphics were amazing, but I was actually more concerned with the script.
I was really afraid they might pull an Ultra Violet, where everything was perfect except for the script which totally sucked ass.
But no. It was great! Better than I hoped for and it didn't end the way I'd expected it to, either. So if you're into action, bullets, cars, and Greek tragedies, go for it! Go right now!
