A VERY busy week...

Feb 27, 2009 00:14

We are about 8 weeks out from our big conference in April and things are coming together, although its now taking up almost 80% of my workday to deal with it all.  I'm responsible for coordinating with the staff of our incoming distinguished guest speakers and panelists to get them here and in the right places on the right dates.  The bosses seem very impressed with the work that the planning team is doing, but I'm hoping more that the attendees will be impressed!

I'll be glad when it is all over with, but more, I hope it goes well!

And Saturday I take my Amateur Radio Technician Class licensing exam.  I've been doing practice exams and I've managed to get the minimum of 26 out of 35 questions.  I just hope the real test I get isn't 90% math!  A HAM licensee at work, one of the faculty members, keeps popping up to me and asking me questions from the test pool.  Today he asked me what the formula was for determining the length of a 1/2 wavelength dipole antenna... and i actually got it right!  (The answer is 486/f.  f is the frequency)  Now if only I can remember that on Saturday!

It's already "tomorrow" for me... off to bed... finally!
