Hey! Thanks so much for the ginger chews! Such a surprise. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw them. <-- Uh-oh, I must be turning into my grandmother. She used to say that.

Not much is going on with me lately. We've been the House of Plague since the end of December. I managed to escape all the crud being passed around with little more than a several day headache. I don't know how I lucked out. The Spawn had it pretty bad.

Kansas weather is being Kansas weather the couple last weeks or so - highs in the 60s one day, highs int eh 30s the next. It's hard on the sinuses and plants and I just can't acclimate, but it gives me an opportunity to open the house for fresh air every couple days. Tomorrow it's supposed to be over 70. Dan is taking the afternoon off work so we can go for a ride. I should be using this time to do some outdoor projects, especially on the days when it warms up enough to do some painting, but I'm just not feeling the motivation.

I think I may have to bite the bullet and do some remodeling this year. We're having to prop several of our windows up with dowel rods to keep them shut now and the carpet is so old the backing is starting to get brittle and crunchy. I'm both excited about it and dreading it.

What's up with you? How's work, life, and all other important things?
