Highs and Lows

The Star Wars Weekend was EXCELLENT! PHOTOS.

Fri - took my dad with me. Saw a panel of Imperial Officers including Captain Needa ('Apology accepted!' and Admiral Motti 'Vader! Release him!') and the big man himself, David Prowse. Hosted by Warrick Davis.

Charlie Ross was bloody brilliant.

Then in the avo was Mark Hamill who was a bit odd at first but got into his groove and turned out to be very funny and down to earth.

Sat - took the mrs and the kids. They were very funny having lightsaber battles on the Tube. Kept many people amused hacking at each other. They got dressed up and had their photos taken with LOADS of people. They were really into it.

In the avo was Anthony Daniels who is such a gushing luvvie he was hilarious. Loving the attention and, although incredibly OTT, was quite humbled by the experience as well.

Sun - took drackill who was a bit worried that the fanboys might sniff him out as an outsider. You'll have to ask him but I think he enjoyed the day, if only for seeing me again!

First was Ray Park who recreated (sort of) his death scene. Very funny! Then I picked up my one and only autograph from Richard LeParmentier. One slight criticism is the expense of getting autographs. It seems a tad harsh that you've already spent £X to get in and then stars charge for a sig. One guy was charging £85! And he was one of the guys who probably has never needed to work again because of the film.

Anyway, had I started getting autographs from Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew then I wouldn't have been able to stop and would have to have got Anthony Daniels and Ray Park and the lot would have cost just shy of £100. It's probably not that much if you're planning on selling them but mine are to keep.

The avo saw the Vader Project which was a bit odd. 50 or so Vader heads used as a blank canvas for artists to do what they want.

And then home.

The kids and mrs did London Zoo on Sun and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Even being caught in the freak downpour at 4ish didn't ruin their day.

The low has come today, though, and the boy has picked up some sort of bug and is vomming EVERYWHERE!

star wars, vomit
