But, seriously, I just binged Our Flag Means Death last weekend and I was begging Taika for more. And your stand up had me giggling and don't get me started on Flight of the Conchords and What We Do in the Shadows.

Cheers and thank you! My goals have been achieved to have you enjoying all that! All your work is incredible and Lost in Translation will always be a favourite film. I hope Jojo Rabbit is not your only time working with Taika as you were perfect in that.

I hired him to direct my Tower of Terror film! So no, it isn't the end of our professional collaborations. We worked really well together on JoJo and I like how he includes the cast in the making of the film. It makes it feel like such a group project.

Oh I'd forgotten about this! Yes fantastic! He's so open to collaboration through every step and it's refreshing every time.

It is. It makes it feel like you're going to work with friends, not co-workers.

Yes! It turns into being paid for having fun.

Don't get me wrong, I was nominated for an Oscar for work I did with a director who wouldn't let one deviate from the script one iota, but Taika's method is way more fun and I think it's the reason he can sneak really serious or dark messages and themes into what feels like a light film.

Oh no yes. You worked extremely hard on the project and it showed. Your performance was incredibly touching and heartbreaking all at once. He does enjoy surprising you with heart and emotions you're not expecting.

My husband still hasn't forgiven him for JoJo Rabbit. Haha.
