It's a lousy cooking month for me. I got swamped with my last show, so I went out to eat way too much. Now, I'm home again and it's time to buckle down and resume cooking. And what happens? My beef stew is underflavored, and I've now forgotten how to make my bbq sauce AND my teriyaki sauce (the bbq sauce tastes mostly of ketchup and the teriyaki just tastes like a funny soy sauce). So dinner tonight? Frozen meatballs with unhappy sauce (that I didn't eat, so forget about the pasta that it was on top of till I can fix it..), followed by peanut butter crackers. Plus, see, I have a cold, so I don't want to be standing up for more than about 5-10 min at a time, which makes it a bit difficult to throw anything decent together. On my list: cake for BSKit's birthday, cornbread to go with the stew, muffins to have around for breakfast, bread 'cause we're all out. Tomorrow, first rehearsal for my next show, which is lovely to be starting on, and then a few weeks off till tech, when they want me back. Which means hopefully some time to get my act together, clean up the kitchen real well, then finally get my cooking streak back...
Tired again. Gonna see if there's anything good on tv. Anybody got any good netflix recommendations for me? Even better would be netflix watch instantly stuff. :)
