One month self-publishing

May 16, 2015 14:18

Today is officially one month since I have started self-publishing gay romance on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).

I only have one story out so far. The other one I finished yesterday and need to write a blurb and do a cover and come up with a title. It's an Elliot Stabler/Eddie Drake (from the short-lived TV series Wanted) story that was posted almost ten years ago. I yanked it off LJ, and added more than 11,000 words to it to make it more marketable.

Part of the reason I filed off the serial numbers on this one is because once your story passes the 30 day New Release threshold your name drops as well. I needed a chance to catch up writing and having a pre-made one helped. I'm aiming for 20,000 every three weeks, but gah, it's hard.

Anyway, I'd like to extend my appreciation to everyone who bought/looked at/reviewed/read my first book. In total, as of today it has earned me $488.92.

writing, self-publishing, somewhat employed now, good news everyone!
