Tonight my girlfriend and I went to the movie theatre to watch the newly remastered version of Star Trek: The Next Generation's two-part episode (at the time, the Season 3 finale/Season 4 premiere) "The Best of Both Worlds."
It's probably one of the best episodes TNG has ever done, in which Picard is captured by the Borg and turned into Locutus.
The was a one-night-only event across the nation to celebrate the
Best of Both Worlds special Blu-ray edition being released on April 30.
Before we got to see the two parts put together into one feature-length film, we got to watch interviews with the cast and crew about filming the episode, and after the film we got to watch a gag reel that covered the episode and others during the show's run.
It was interesting watching a television episode on the big screen with an audience. I've seen the episodes numerous times, but it was great to hear the audience laugh at certain points and then clap at the end. I wish they would show awesome TV episodes from various series on the big screen more often. It makes for really cool interactive experience.
