I have chosen to walk down the dark path...
...and I just joined Facebook! Ugh. I don't care about connecting with old friends, I thought it would be good for the job hunt. I made sure to sign up under a different e-mail, in order to keep Rhyme and the person seeking a job separate. As proud as I am of my online activities here, I doubt a potential employer would care to read about Dean and Cas kissing each other, LOL.
I figure that since I'm looking for a job in new media, being versed in the most popular social networks is key even if I think Facebook is stupid. I'll go and Become a Fan of stuff too I guess, at least so some of my fangirlyness shows through.
But nnnnngggghh I feel dirty. At least I can now see the photos my sister-in-law posts about the kids. Anyone from high school, don't bother to Friend me. I mostly hated you all. The only people I was friendly with in college were all my buddies in Army ROTC. I doubt any of them would remember who the hell I was anyway.
I also applied for two jobs today, one with Google (note to self: HAHAHAHAHAHA yeah right!) and one for an online content producer and editor. The apartment owner is going to allow me to sign a 3-month lease to continue to live here.
That means: I find a job by June or I lose the apartment. Oy.
