I saw two more apartments last night. One was nice, but maybe around 500 (if that) for almost $1300. *sigh* And the second one was a bit of a walk to the train, had no parking, and seriously hadn't been updated since 1965.

Regarding the news about Kim Manners: Everyone has already written their tributes and such. I generally judge a TV show by the names of producers, directors, and writers that come up on the screen during a series pilot. While I enjoyed the pilot of Supernatural, I knew I would stick around and continue to watch because of all the X-Files alums that were behind the scenes, Manners being one of them.
He directed some of the best X-Files episodes ever, and if you've never seen the show, hunt down Kim's name at IMDb and start there.
And finally, as much as I sympathize with his passing and the loss to both the professional and fan communities, I would be remiss in not mentioning the fact that I hope others on my Flist will work toward quitting smoking. Not lecturing; merely putting that out there.
