Had a great weekend~ Hung out with Jaketh and котенок (IS THAT RIGHT? FREETRANSLATION TELLS ME THAT'S HOW YOU SPELL "KITTEN" IN RUSSIAN.) who is home on leave before heading down to Maryland to do more fun Navy training stuff that I don't understand at all \o/ We watched an absolutely godawful movie that all of you need to go out and buyrentdownloadnetflix right now: Black Sheep. It's set in New Zealand, and is about sheep. But not just any sheep, killer zombie sheep. Yeah, it's about as awesome as it sounds.
Saturday was the Haunted Forest. Man oh man it was awesome. The theme was Wonderland/Fairytales, and I was a Card Guard in the Queen of Hearts' castle. Pictures to come when I figure out where the hell I left my camera cord :( Scared the crap out of a lot of people, which was awesome. The lack of awesome came when a group of Junior Firefighters from the town came through and assaulted 3 or 4 of our actors. They stole the hat right off Roxanne's (our Hansel and Gretel Witch) head, knocked entire bunches of the set for Jack Sprat and his wife's cannibal dining room, and were just generally assholes. However, names were taken and cops were called, and they were made to own up for their dumbassery. Also, since they're Junior Firefighters... Kelly's (the coordinator of the whole thing) father is their senior officer. We all had a good laugh at how boned that means they are.
Yesterday I mostly slept off the exhaustion of screaming my lungs out at terrified guests for hours the night before... Also went into work for about 10 minutes to fill out paperwork that I already filled out back in August, but had to be reprocessed for my rehire. I got paid 2 hours for it, though! Am so glad to be back at work. Worked 10-4 today, and it's just SO GOOD to not be sitting around doing fuck all all day long. AM SORT OF BUMMED, THOUGH. Am out of money, since I managed to make ~$200 stretch 5 weeks, so even though we have a promotion going at work this week where we all get 40% off as many items as we want in the store (other than clearance), instead of our usual 20% with four items a month for 40% off ONLY for ourselves, I won't be able to take advantage of it and buy pants that aren't actually 2-4 sizes too large.
