I love EBay.

I just spent $19.99 (and free shipping!) on a 15-piece iPod nano accessory kit. I looked up all of the stuff in it, and it's valued somewhere around $150 all together. Scoooore. I was only looking for a replacement USB charger, since mine is a little fucked up, and possibly new headphones, but this is great!

Am going out with miroku64 for lunch somewhere, and to buy clothes while I still have a discount (see below for the "still have")~ And possibly drag her to the humane society to play with kittens. Because my Craigslist search for kittens is not going particularly well, and I need a cat. And am determined to get a cat with an actual personality, not a bizarro alien cat like Thor who doesn't play, doesn't snuggle, and doesn't do anything interesting besides sit in the window and stare at birds and howl to go outside at retarded hours of the night.

And for those of you who missed it, I had my meeting with one of my managers after work yesterday, about my seasonal temp status. It was with the logistics manager, Kate, who I wasn't sure liked me (the other managers are Sam (store manager), Abby (operations manager), and Ryan (sales and training manager) and I know they all adore me), and she told me that they all adore me and she really wants me on her logistics team, because in the three weeks I've been there, they've seen me come really far and learn a ton really quickly.

Unfortunately, they don't have the payroll for the month of September to give me any more than 2-4 hours a week, because most of the Old Navy stores in our region are a bit fucked for payroll right now. And because we've just implemented a new scheduling system at does everyone's schedules automatically on computer and emails schedules out, and has a digital time off request/availability changer (it's awesome, but doesn't have all the bugs out yet), I have to be taken out of the system so that I don't get scheduled for random, inconvenient two hour shifts every week. So what I get to do is basically take the rest of the month off, then go fill out the online application again in October and call them once I send it in, and they'll hire me back (no orientation this time, and all of my information will be the same in the computers (login numbers, etc). And then I'll get register trained, and they'll have another meeting with me to feel out what I'm most comfortable doing, and which shifts are most convenient for me, so I'll get the maximum number of hours I can, doing whatever I'm best at.
Kate said she'd understand if I didn't want to come back if I have to take time off, but told me they all really really want to have me back. So I'm going for it. Given my fail at luck with jobs, I'd say this is pretty fucking awesome.
