Flood of a sudden accident

Upon stepping at the doorstep, my household helper told me that my brother caught an accident. That explains why Mum had cancelled our 6pm mass. For an instant, my mind went as blank as a tabula rasa. I just didn't know what to do next. Not even a single tear had dropped on my cheeks. I was so stunned that for about five minutes, I just stood there frigid. Everything around me moves in slow motion. Maybe, it's just a normal feeling that envelops you when a heartbreaking situation happens, and you're left with nothing but faith that God will weave out a better tomorrow for all of us.

Oh dear merciful Lord, I just hope that Miguel's accident is not that serious, not that fatal. I fervently ask you to bless him. Amen.
