One of our profs just left here for Tasmania. He has been there a year and officially retired from here a couple weeks ago. I wonder how universities in Australia/Tasmania and US compare from a professor's point of view.
I am so swamped with work! Larry is making me first author on two papers this summer. I might have said that. Now I am having astronomy nightmares! And I haven't even begun studying for quals.
I am working on losing weight again, for real this time. Everyone in my office, and sort of in the department, is working together to encourage each other. I believe that every extra calorie burnt helps. I have lost 3 pounds so far in the last week. An official weight-loss update will occur tomorrow, and every Friday, like clockwork.
