Trippin' Balls!!!!
I had so much fun this weekend guys!! Me and Archie went to this big outdoor rave/festival thing called Motion Notion. It was crazy, a whole freakin' bunch of people from alllll over the place gathered in Rangeton Park (a great big group campsite) on the Pembina River and grooved to five different stages. The music played almost constantly with only a four hour "quiet time" Saturday morning (which sucked ass by the way).
We headed out right after work Friday night. Driving into the park you go down this big hill that overlooks the whole area. It was like looking at a city of tents. I couldn't even hazard a guess as to how many people were there because there was a chunk of the site that I didn't go explore.
I danced and rocked out all Friday night, didn't go to bed 'til eleven Saturday morning. We toured around and grooved at all the different stages, checked out the vendor's and chilled by the fire 'cause it didn't matter where you went you always heard the music. Saturday morning we sat and watched the sun come up while chilling by our still going fire. I crawled into my tent just before noon, I didn't think I'd be able to sleep yet (I was trippin' balls) but figured I'd at least lay down for a bit. When I woke up it was sooooo hot in my tent. I think I gave myself heat stroke from it. I ended up sleeping outside for most of the afternoon and then went back to the tent when it was cooler out and slept all night.
Sunday we packed everything up, and I bought some stuff from the vendors. They had such cool stuff, I wish I remembered to stop at the bank before heading out, I only had a bit of money I nabbed from Archie. I got a purple and black striped wool hoodie sweater and an awsome rasta toque. I've been wanting one forever, I have so much hair that normal toques just don't work for me. I can totally tuck all my hair up into this one.
We spent the hot part of the day sitting in the shallow part of the river. I did pretty good though, I didn't put on any sunscreen and the only thing that's burnt is the end of my nose, I don't even have much of a tan anywhere else.
