RhumbaTecH_: Handheld Gaming... here comes a new challenger...

Note: This is quite old news... But I really want to bring it up in my LJ...

The two BIG handhelds fighting it out in the market at the moment would of course be the PSP (center) and the Nintendo DS right. Those who have been keeping themselves in touch with the console gaming world would have no problem recognizing these two but the question is... do anybody know what the left handheld console is?

A few weeks back I was talking about the Gamepark GPX2. Well the company seemed to have divided themselves into two. One focusing on the GPX2 and the other focusing on this new handheld console device, known as the XGP. I got nothing to say about the company's choice of names. XGP apparently stands for "eXtreme Game Player".

Do take note that the above picture is not a real picture of the XGP running an incredible looking 3D game (anybody know which game is that? Quake? Halo?) so don't go gaga yet. Not much is known about it yet (Seriously. Try googling for it...) but rumours are stating that this device would be quite similar to the GPX2 in that it will have be able to emulate all your old games (i.e. SNES, NES, SEGA, GBA etc.) and that it will be able to emulate PSP games as well. Well... let's see if it can even come over to Singapore fist...

Anyway, seriously... this guy looks a little bit too fat for my liking. And I heard that the PSPs and Nintendo DS fans are programming emulators for their consoles, so we may not need the XGP to want to emulate old consoles on it...
