Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing... the 2GB GMail killer... introducing... Goowy Mail. Goowy Mail has 2GB storage space just like GMail, but the difference lies in the operating environment. Above in the picture you see (probably cause I have not downloaded yet) the desktop version of Goowy. Beats dreadful boring MS Outlook anything don't ya say? However, it comes with a web-based operating environment as well. The winning formula? The web based operating environment... It is very excitingly done in Flash Animation. In fact, somehow, the creators of Goowy Mail have made used of Flash to create some sort of Desktop environment from which you can easily access from the net. Is this an example of the Microsoft desktop killing capability that we though Google was coming up with first?
I have registered for it ( nivek6@goowy.com ) and I am extremely impressed with it. Unfortunately, what's stopping me from using it is that I am still relying on MS Outlook synchronisation with my PDA. Sigh. Maybe MS Outlook will become as beautiful one day? Or maybe MS Activesync will allow synchronisation with other email programs one day... ... ... ... nah... it's Microsoft... what do you expect?
