Here's why we don't print submitted poetry by readers.
This gem, not only bad, but utterly wrong, dates to 1982.
They really should have known better!
This, from 1982, illustrates perfectly why we don't print local poetry!
You are gonna like it as it is not just utterly rubbish, it's also really wrong!

Oh Mother oh mother
My pride and joy
You gave me nine months of your life,
Giving birth to a boy

And although we argue,
All of the day
When night comes around
I still get my way

Through the good times,
And bad times we have known;
You are always at the door
When i come home

With your everlasting looks,
You never seem to age;
My love you have earned,
With the words on this page.

And through all the things,
You say and do
I will only say one thing,
"Mum, i LOVE YOU."
