Even as a housewife, finding time to cook 3 nutritious meals a day is hard going with everything else you have to fit in.

To have a perfect house and perfect cuisines for family, one have to revert back to perfect 1950s housewives who cook, clean and rear family to perfection, if not in scary Stepford wives robotic fashion.

It is an art that is dying when women want to do other things other than be tied to kitchen and home. Paul's nan was good at doing all those PLUS work too. How, I dunno? Maybe women in general prefer to be doing something else once work is over than to slave over hot stove.

Now you have to work, cook, clean, rear kids, be a wife and worry what the govt are saying abt your contribution to society. Workaholics don't do much cooking due to time and rarely have enough time to look into how kids are doing, stay home means we don't contribute to economy.

Men can do the cooking, but I suspect it is too much faff if they are not interested in it. Of course they can argue that they are genetically trained to just hunt (bring home bacon) and not to have to cook it too.

Some men can do child rearing and home stuff very well (we know a few), majority don't have the common sense to do it properly. Paul would be the first to say he rather not go to baby groups with Jamie if he is a stay at home dad. However, he tells me it is good for me to take Jamie to baby groups. See the difference??

Now that is a comment that would get me into trouble! ;)
