what would you do
if the world that you knew
burned alive while you watched?

would you head for a hill
if they kill
everyone you had ever known?

and what would you say
if your friends went away
and left you there all alone?

i know what id do
id cry in my room
and wait for the pain to subside

but what if it stays
and leaves my mind like a maze
that gets lost inside of itself?

i think id be numb
for my time would be done
and the pain wouldnt rule anymore
