Two and out :(

It's the end of Day 3 of the WGA strike and we're now hearing more specifics on about how long we have before we start seeing repeats. At first people were like, "Oh, I hear they have plenty of shows written and/or already produced. It will be awhile before [we] have to worry..." Not quite.

The Office:

There's just two more new episodes of The Office until God knows when! :( It was announced today that production for The Office has officially shut down production. As an added suckage to the whole situation, Jenna Fisher blogged:Oh...there are only 2 unaired original episodes of The Office left. And, I'm sad to say the one we were getting ready to shoot was going to be the funniest of the year. I'm sure of it. They've been pitching this particular story idea for over 2 years (I left off the slight spoiler comment).

Here are some of The Office writers/actors on the picket line:

House:

Episodes 4x07 - 4x09 are slated to air during the next three Tuesdays (until November 27). According to this link (courtesy of MaryKir), House has completed ten episodes and they have a few more weeks of things that can be done on set. That will take us to mid-January and that's all. I wonder if that will even happen. If they end up only having 10 or 11 episodes filmed, who wants to wait six or seven weeks to see ONE new episode? I also wonder if they'll save the "new" one for the post-Super Bowl slot, even if that wasn't the episode they had hoped to air. They may have no other choice.

Fox note: Here is a very convoluted Fox programming schedule. Good luck trying to figure out when (if at all) your favorite Fox show will air. Note 2: I don't watch 24 but I know they announced they are delaying the January premiere until they know they can air all of season 7 without interruption.

Lost:

They have filmed 8/16 and were to premiere in February. ABC may choose to air the eight new eps and leave it at that (but we all know how "well" those six episodes were received last season) OR they may just hold everything and air them in September OR worse case, wait until February 2009!! @^#%$@! D:

Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy are also shutting down production this week so that may mean only a handful of new shows for them too. You can find the status of most shows HERE. I'm not sure if they'll update changes to this list or come out with a new one down-the-road.

So overall, this sucks for everyone. Last I heard, it doesn't sound like they're even close to reaching an agreement. Why did I have to have my marathon DVD-watching sessions just before this season began? I could have had new(ish) things to watch! Maybe I'll re-read Deathly Hallows for the third time. Heck, the way things are shaping up, I can start from the beginning!

ETA: For those interested, wga_supporters is a new community you may want to watch/join (though for many of you, your flist will provide the all the info that you need to know, and more! :p)
