Every night since the war ended, she has slept in your bed, tucked safely in your arms. She has spent a week in your arms and you had just allowed yourself the idea that she may just stay there forever. Of course you knew that eventually she would have to leave the comfort and security of your bed but you are still struck by the sudden cold you feel without her presence.
Her lingering scent hits you again and you are struck with the realization that you never want to spend another night away from her. “too cold without her.”
