Notes: Just after the final battle, they look for sleep in Hogwarts and Ron thinks about what could have been if not for all this mess.
She fell asleep in your arms hours ago and you haven’t taken your eyes off her since. The battle is over and you can hardly stand but you find the strength to carry her gently up the stairs.
You look around the room and allow yourself just a moment of grief before deciding you need to be strong for her this time.
You lay her down on what would have been your bed, this beautiful warrior who should have been yours all along. She tugs you down beside her as if afraid to loose the contact.
“I love you Ron.”
