Don't Tell Hermione
Ron sat with his feet up, listening to the Cannons match on the wireless. He absentmindedly stroked the old ginger cat in his lap, feeding him Muggle cat treats while he purred contentedly.
“Hermione can never know about this, Crookshanks. She wouldn’t understand.”
The cat gave a soft mewrf of agreement.
The front door opened and man and cat flew into action; Crookshanks leapt to the floor while Ron jumped to his feet.
“Stupid ruddy furball!”
Hermione entered the lounge to find Ron yelling at an angrily hissing Crookshanks.
“Don’t you think this animosity between you two is getting old?”
