change of scenery
A little update.
I am now living in Cardiff. The Aber chapter has folded. Sad, but necessary. Eve and I are living in Pontcanna, the posh end of Canton which is a very colourful and diverse part of the city. Our flat is basic groundfloor in a block of apartments, but it's clean, airy and modern and very close to Bute Park. It's also just a short walk from the city centre. Eve's working for the Welsh Assembly and I'm still awaiting my student visa. I'm also looking for part-time work. Tomorrow I'm popping into the History and Archaeology Department to see about reading I should be catching up on before the course starts. (I'm starting an MA in Celtic Studies).
Next week I'm going up to Aber for a couple days to see friends and sort some stuff out. It will be nice to sit on the beach again while the weather's still nice.
