I've got that stupid Pepsi commercial song stuck in my head. You know the one where that guy and that chick are dancing down the street? ARRRGH get it OUT!!! *bangs head on computer*

Ummmm, managed to NOT think about His Hottness for a while today... I went and rode my horse, then I spent all evening thinking what I was going to write in the email I was going to send him (which got sent, and was rather short and kinda cute... I'm on time constraints tonight).

Anyway. I went and rode Sham. The driveway and the road is clear enough to ride on YAY!!! We didn't do *much* really, but I was happy with the results I got from what we did do. Lots and lots of halt-trot-halt transitions, some walk-canter-walk transitions, she wasn't happy about that, but she was fine going from a trot to a canter, no head tossing or anything, so I'm wondering if maybe she's just not strong enough yet to do walk-canter transitions. By the time I quit the halt-trot-halts she was giving me some NICE collection on her own at the walk, and I even managed to get her head to stay down at the trot, woot! Oh and she has IMPULSION!! On her own! Hooray! After we did the transitions, we did some shoulder-ins and haunches-ins, and she did those fairly nicely, better than she did them in October, that's for damn sure. And we did some sidepassing, which I was happy with. I was careful to not ask too much of those from her, cause I know that they take effort and are hard to do when a horse isn't used to them. Her turns on the forehands were kind of sloppy at first, but by the end of the ride she was doing them fairly well. There's runoff down the road, and it's going under the snow that's still there, so she was all freaked out about that, so we did some de-spooking with that... it was the noise, she couldn't figure out what it was and was blowing and arching her neck, but she was good, and she eventually got over it. Watch, Thursday she's going to be all "OMG!" again. The leg-yeilding wasn't so cool, she's still dragging her ass, but we'll work on it, I'm starting to figure out how to correct her and keep her straight with the reins. And her backing was good, once I got it through her head that it's not cool when she swings her ass around. She'll get the idea, I got a couple straight backs out of her and then I called it quits on that.

Apparantly I have to tighten the girth another hole before I get on her, four holes on each side isn't enough anymore apparantly. She's going to love that *rolls eyes* Maybe I'll go back to the string girth, I think it's shorter.

Mom and Dad are going away in Alberta so I'm going to vaccum all the navajo blankets and throw them in the washer, and I'll put her girth in there too, it's washable. I want to do the western girths as well, and Smokey's English girth needs to be wiped off. All the leather needs to be cleaned too. Ugh. Maybe I'll purchase some illicit herbs and make a day out of it, do it all at once, my boots need to be done too, and my gloves could probably stand to be thrown in the washing machine as well. Although they're neoprene, so I could probably do those ones by hand.

Once my "arena" is melted I can start working on the things that require space, like circles and such.

I really want satellite radio.
