Yes, people...I know... I haven't posted in like FOREVER...and I'm going to have even less time to post going forward.
1) My sister got married last weekend (pictures below) and the mother of XIS watched Finn and simply doted on him. I don't think he wanted to leave! It was like he was at a four star hotel for babies... she made him homemade EVERYTHING (squash, veggie soup, pannacotta, etc..)
2) Speaking of aforementioned wedding, due to the day before the wedding being SO crazed, I didn't have a chance to try on my bridesmaid dress until 10:30 the night before the wedding and at about that time I realized that the zipper was broke on my dress. Given that the wedding was at 10 am the next day, this sent me into a bit of a panic. Fortunately, a kindhearted seamstress came to my rescue, however, I had to be sewn into the dress and left the seamstresses' house 25 minutes before the limo left my mom's house. Well, on the Lasalle Expressway, which NEVER has cops....there of course was a cop. Aforementioned cop pulled me over. We had about a 25 second exchange at 9:20 in the morning.
Me: (Very calm...not crying, just with steely resolve) "I'm late for my sister's wedding because I had to be sewn into my dress on Grand Island"
Cop: "When is the wedding?"
Me: "The limo leaves at 9:30."
Cop: "You do realize you were doing 90, right?"
Me: "Yes"
Cop: "Just go....go... have a nice day"
3) I got a job at CBS!!!!!!! I'll be coordinating all the advertising for "The NFL Today" as well as some college football and college basketball. The job is 4 days a week, so for the time being, I'm being a little nutty and still staying at my current job part time (3 days) so that if things don't work out at CBS, or if I end up hating being in the city again, I can go back to my other job in January.
Hopefully y'all will forgive me for not posting...things have been quite crazy.
