As a relatively impartial observer when it came to this year's Super Bowl, I have but a few things to say.
A. Troy Polamalu is awesome, and nothing can diminish his awesomeness. Here, have
video evidence. Plus
he's cute (at least, I think so. But maybe I've just been spending too much time at the gym...'cause how can you not admire
the athleticism?) (ok, I need to stop with the links. But you get the point.)
B. I don't feel like looking up the stats here (because...um...I'm lazy) but I kinda thought Ben Roethlisberger played like crap the first half of the game. And, of course, the moment I said this he threw like 7 perfect passes in a row and a TD, etc. I mean, I don't hate him or anything (though the fact that everyone calls him Big Ben makes me associate him with a clock...but whatever). But clearly I shouldn't say stuff like that if I AM rooting against someone, because they seem to be able to hear me.
C. Aww,
sad Cardinals. Poor Ben Patrick! And Larry Fitzgerald! They all seem so nice and scrappy (although I hate that word) and underdog-ish...it made me feel kind of guilty for sorta-rooting for the Steelers. But my love of Troy Polamalu trumps all, footballwise.
D. THIS. Look, I know the Cardinals' defense isn't exactly high quality, but I'm just gonna enjoy how unbelievably fabulous James Harrison is.

This story kind of cracked me up. Willie Parker had never heard of Bruce Springsteen? Hmm. On the other hand, I do think the NFL needs to start branching out when it comes to halftime entertainment (and maybe get someone under 50?) But I'm gonna be non-constructive and annoying and say that I have no idea who they should hire instead. Sorry.
G. Aaand...only a week before pitchers and catchers report!! It has been way too freaking long.
ETA: apparently the links were all screwed up. yeah, i fail at teh computers. they should work now *crosses fingers hopefully*
