'The world economic system is imploding. This is simple: it exploded for a number of years. Now, it has to implode in order to come back into balance. '
Watching the world fall is so intriguing. The Icelandic People protesting their financial crisis pretty much overthrew their government. Somalian pirates are ransoming captured british and french vessels for millions. The economic downfall is hitting Alberta the hardest with layoffs into the hundred thousands and the boom is crashing. Ontario's minimum wage is going way up again, but achieving what?? In the reflection of worldwide debt any action taken by our government seems insigificant. And everybody is letting everything slide, it's almost chaotic. The system we created is suddenly bigger than us. It's getting the better of us. I'm hoping in the growing multitudes of frustrated and unhappy people a worldwide revolution might burst through the cracks of a crippled, shrivelled up and downtrodden society.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify them, or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.
- Jack Kerouac
My ideals have become ingrained into my identity. My ideals built on a foundation of sinking sands. I breathe within the moment because it's the only true reality I can grasp. Knowing that nothing is infinite, makes love and poverty and hunger, depression and anxiety, so much easier to deal with, because it's all so fleeting. You'd think that I would be so cold. On the contrary, I am so full of passion for life because I am not consumed and derailed from petty emotions and circumstances. And it's kind of awesome.
