I'm paraphrasing here, but Bush today said that his hunch is that oil companies aren't gouging us with gas prices, and the he trusts the investigations by the FTC will bear out his hunch.

His hunches didn't even help him find OIL IN TEXAS.
I have a hunch that gas prices are going to keep going up, and that (even should that fail to be true) Bush's approval ratings will continue to drop or not go up.
