New Job!
So today I start my new job at Randall Surgery. Im wicked excited! I got new pretty ble scrubs to wear, and next Im going to get a pink pair, nice summer colors. Its wierd though because this is going to be such an adult job, and different from most of the jobs Ive had, and Ive had a lot. Lets actually list them all, shall we? So of course theres Sundaes, Lighthouse Medical Management, Shaws, Christys Liquors, Santas Helper at Warwick Mall, st. Micahels College Child Care Center, Ski Market, Mater Spei Day Camp, CJ&J consulting for some computer work, Gateways to Change Group Homes, and now Randall Surgery. I think thats all of them. And thats only since 1999! Its a good resume I guess, and I was never fired, it might make me look like I cant keep a job, but Sundaes Ive been at since April of 1999. The other jobs I just got and kept during the winter season while sundaes was closed, except for Mater Spei and Lighthouse and Gateway, those were during the time at sundaes too. hopefully this will be a long term job. I need something instead of Sundaes. I love working there, and I love my coworkers, especially those who were there with me in the beginning. We have so many memories there. Like Timmy and Tabitha, Playing Spoons, Who can make the biggest cone, who can make a cone and hold it upside down without it falling longest, spoon races!! Hiding in boxes, scavenger hunts, eye spy, SOFTBALL GAMES (we kicked ass!!) and all the other stupid stuff we did. I cant believe its almost over for me. Its a good move, it hasnt been the same lately, but I am definitely going to miss it. I made some amazing friends there, even if it did take me a year before I even started to talk to people. Team Death and Destruction, I heart you all!! But new things are ahead, and its a beautiful day, and I couldnt be more excited.
I love the warmer weather lately. Being able to drive with the windows down and not freeze, and the sun is out and the wind in your hair while you drive. Today driving back from rehoboth I was listening to Pete Yorn and Guster and it was just so nice to listen to good music and feel the sun. I love it.
This easter was decent. I had to work and Trish got called of which was sad, but all in all the weekend was nice. I got to hang out with my sister which is always fun. And Shannon and I went to see the Passion of Christ. The film was shot really well, and it was interesting to see the way it was portrayed because when you read the Bible or hear it in Mass its not the same as seeing it on a screen. I think Mel Gibson did a great job. the devil was somewhat confusing, I mean understandable but just didnt seem to fit at some points. It was really effective the way you noticed in the expressions on peoples faces or the thigns they did, the slow realization by those who at first didnt believe (that Jesus was who he said he was) starting to realize that he is the Son of God. Like Simon who carried the cross with Jesus, at first he didnt want to be associated with a convicted man, but then as they keep moving along he begins to stand up for him and have compassion for him. And the Roman soldiers when they see Mary watching him, and later they give Jesus a sponge of water. It was just really interesting because youre not just watching Jesus, youre watching those around him too, and trying to explain and show what the people who knew him, who convicted him, or who watched him die felt. It was really a moving movie. And not as gruesome as I had expected. It was just amazing and moving, and its interesting how the movie just made me feel like I need to become a better Christian.
