How's my driving? Although there are a thousand ways to define Kiriko's character, I play her a little bit differently. Instead of focusing on one particular canon (where details about her are scarce), I try to follow a combination of all Black Jack canons to get a more complete picture of the Doctor. Occasionally you might come across conflicting information between canons, so here is a list of what I have chosen to use:
♠ BLACK JACK MANGA CANON
-The timeline, 1974-1981, is the time period Dr. Kiriko is from.
-Kiriko killed her father (instead of Phoenix Disease claiming him, as in Black Jack 21). However, she did get a chance to speak with him on the table like in 21.
-99% Water happened; skill with dynamite goes along with this.
-She's still in post-op of Gumma.
♠ BLACK JACK 21 CANON
-Her father, Dr. Edward Theodore George, is a world-reknown Doctor who was immortal.
-In turn, her last name is George.
-Her lineage is Japanese Canadian and she once lived in Canada [as seen in Episode 11].
-Phoenix Disease exists.
♠ BLACK JACK OVA CANON
-She's a composer.
-She lived on the run, unlike the affluent Black Jack.
-She's generally a nice person when you don't piss her off.
♠ BLACK JACK TWO DOCTORS OF DARKNESS MOVIE CANON
-Everything in this movie happened. Just... everything.
