About My Computer and Other Stuff....
My computer is apparently getting ready to crash and burn. I keep getting signals that the hard-drive is going bad and the speed has gone way, way down from what it was. Some days I can get to LJ and sometimes I can't.
Hubby will eventually get me another computer but it will be a while as he's busy with his students and his never-ending load of paperwork until the end of the semester.
I finally got three Mood Fabrics sewing patterns printed out at the library Saturday. They are:
The Molina Tunic
The Calendula Blouse
The Elaeis Shirt
I am going to say one thing here about downloadable patterns: There is no way I would ever willingly PAY for such a pattern nor do I think you should either. I have spent several hours putting each of these three beasts together and making sure their cutting lines are all "true" with the other cutting lines and I have yet to get them anywhere near a piece of test fabric.
I will say that, so far, the bodies of them "look" as though they will fit, so fabric here they come.
I'll have to conjure up some simple sleeves for the Calendula Blouse and the Elaeis Shirt. Their current sleeves are pretty but they're just too fancy for me and every day wear.
The Molina Tunic is made to be worn over a pullover top or another blouse. I'm thinking it will add a welcome layer of warmth this winter.
