Humpday and Small Victories....

Jollyson and I have been pecking away at yard chores this week.
Yesterday he took his electric chainsaw to a dead burning bush and he managed to cut most of it down. There's a smallish stump left but at least the dead wood isn't waving six feet in the air any more.
Jollyson also did the weed whacking between yesterday and today so everything looks neater and nicer.
I managed to finish mowing the front yard yesterday and I have a small bit left to do. (I'm inside to drink some iced tea and rest a bit before going back outside.)

I went by Rural King and found some largish flowerpots on clearance for $5. I figure they can spend the winter outside in the garage while they await my pleasure come next spring. I've seen plenty of flowerpots their size going for $35-50 all summer long, so I'm tickled with my purchase.
The three I bought are green plastic. The only other pots on the clearance rack were all tweetybird yellow which color I can't stand, so I left them to spark joy in someone else.
I also bought more bottled water, spray cleaner, and other necessities from the Mule Wart store.

More stupid decisions are upcoming.
I need to figure out what I'm going to do with those Annabelle hydrangea's that are out there in the carport flowerbed. While they are reliable bloomers (when the deer don't eat them down to the ground), they have a bad habit of sending out lots and lots of sprouts. What should I do with all of them?
I have plenty of other types of hydrangea's but not all of them bloom as reliably.
I need to figure out what to do soonish. Hydrangea's root very easily from cuttings but only during the summer months and I will run out of "summer" in another month or perhaps two, if I'm lucky.

I shall do some more thinking while I go out and give my new pruning shears a try. Hubby has taken off with my old hand-held's which he uses to cut his okra with. I'm actually glad he did. The old ones weren't much good any more so I'm glad to see the last of them. (Our okra has gone nuts in the past month.)
