A Little Good News....
My friend Shotgun Rider had a very risky surgery Sunday morning. In it, the surgeon put plates into her broken ribs so that she'd be able to breathe better and easier. (This is apparently a fairly new surgical technique which is reserved for only the worst cases of broken ribs.)
Her family called to let me know that she came through the surgery quite well and is busy resting for now.
I'm planning on going to see her tomorrow afternoon after a doctor's appointment of my own. (It's time for my thyroid checkup.)
