Ahahah. You know, I spent as long agonizing about the end as I did writing the rest of the damn thing. I was worrying hardcore about whether it was too abrupt, too dramatic, etc, etc, so I'm glad you liked it. <3
First off, purely for editing purposes: Sasuke and Naruto volunteered to take the job of cleaning out Sasuke's apartment - I think that ought to be Sakura?
Oh, this piece was fantastic. Sasuke is so heartbreaking, the whole Itachi arc kills me. :| How Sakura and Naruto are left behind to clean things up and take care of business, how Sasuke might have moved that picture, but he probably hasn't honestly let go. THE TRAGEDY. I can't take it! :(( Thank you, though, this ficlet is lovely and crisp, with that faintly dry humor throughout and the sadness below that.
*laughing* That, my friend, has to be one of the weirdest icons I have ever seen.
That typo has also to be one of the dumbest typos I've ever made. But I'm glad that this wasn't painful for you to read or anything. <3 I spent most of the previous two or three days moving out of my place, so it was like alsdkjf;aleiurgh *is only able to think about boxes and dust and packing*
Oh man, I realized after I commented that I had used the, uh, icon of doom. I was not, in fact, trying to get across the message that I wanted to stab something! :D I was using my angest!!11! keywords, but the icon attached is really just hysterical and not so much with the :(( tragedy of the Uchiha clan. (It's from this show called Veronica Mars, which specializes in whacky brilliance.)
Of course not! There's such a lack of good Naruto fic out there, but yours more than makes up for it. I hope your move went well and everything, dust and boxes worked awfully well for Sasuke and Naruto. <3!
your endings. Will have to agree 100% with hydy on this one, grah that is a killer.
I love the contrasts you put out between Sasuke and Naruto-- they're so appropriate and sadly revealing, especially since now they'll probably never have time to hash anything out. Naruto's incompetence used to be such that it doesn't even rise to the level of being a danger when it went horribly, horribly wrong. My love for Naruto is revived. You write everything so matter of fact, and undeniably there, and oh I miss your writing so. ;_;
The overall story was good but I just had to comment because of that last line. That last sentence is just perfection...beyond perfection it is a line that is worth a thousand words, telling a story within itself. I'm overcome by it.
Hee. *giggles and I just realized that rhoddlet would be you. I'm quite embarrassed that I could have forgotten your name in the time it took to go back and find the rec list and confused it for the person posting the list which would be _thedarkroom. *facepalm...blush*

(Out of sheer curiosity, how did you come by this? It's kind of an old story, so I'm tickled pink that people are still reading it. :D)
