I still can't believe that the show was cancelled during it's strongest season. But then, I guess at least it means that Angel left during a strong point. It'll be remembered forever for being an awesome show.
It's pretty amazing that Joss Whedon was able to pull out two awesome shows in a row. Yes, Buffy did suffer a bit later, but it was never really anything devastating in the writing quality. Rather, I think the darker tone just started to depress everyone.
OMG, I just saw your Beating Drums video!! That was awesome and so intense with the gradual build up in speed/tone. I heart your fast cutting style. :)
Haha! Well, I'm glad you found that vid and liked it! I think it's one of my lesser known vids because the music isn't "popular", but I still love it because it was my first one with super fast cutting. :D Thanks!!
I agree with you on both counts with Angel and Buffy. Angel did get a bit weak in its third and fourth seasons, but I'm glad it was at least able to go out with a bang in its fifth. I stuck with Buffy even though it got darker in tone because I loved how the characters grew.
Firefly. Unfortunately, after it's cancellation I was never able to really get into it. So basically, I haven't watched it and thus can't really make a judgement about it.
I miss Angel...
