So it has been a while since i've updated. What has happened since then?
- still have the same job
- still haven't bought a house
- still have a messy apartment
- still don't have a boyfriend
So...not much. I bought a lovely nativity set that I have been wanting for AGES. I've discovered a love for the clothing brand "Stop Staring" and their awesome retro looks. I nearly won a costume contest for Halloween but wuz robbed by some trampy people in lame costumes.
I've been attempting to clean the apartment too. I started on Thursday since I had that day off. Tomorrow the work will continue. I have to clean the main bedroom, then the secondary bedroom, then the living room and kitchen and then I can put up my Christmas stuff. So the goal is to have the cleaning done by thankgiving since i am probably travelling for that, then I can decorate right after Thanksgiving. I have bags and bags of books to take to the used book store, but they are only letting you turn in like 15 at a time. So it is a long process. I threw out some shoes that have served their time, started a bag of donationable clothes, and have done some bill sorting. There are still four boxes of books in my living room, tons of half-finished sewing projects in the spare room, and clean clothes that need to be put away for the season in the main bedroom.
So the lady in front of me in church was wearing an obviously new winter coat today. How do I know it was new? The kick pleat was still sewn closed and there was still the Calvin Klein tag on the sleeve. A bright white tag on a black coat. Every time she adjusted her hair, there it was. And that isn't the first time I've seen people walking around with the tag on the sleeve. Is it that people just don't know that the tag comes off (and *should* come off) and the kickpleat opens up? They probably should stop making coats this way because people just don't realize that stuff comes off and walk around looking tacky. I politely told her after church that her kickpleat was still sewn closed and the tag was still on the sleeve, but I don't know if she understood what I meant and since she seemed to want to get some extra praying in, I didn't linger. But people, PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Take the tag off your sleeves. It is incredibly tacky to be walking around with a label flashing and even worse if it says something like "100% wool".
