today, topeka was hit by an hour and a half of torrential rain. Creeks ran over their banks, sewers were clogged, and my room got flooded.

*sigh*

only thing that got totally wet were my two box springs, but it'll take some time to dry them out. Ug.

Yick, no fun. I remember coming back from Thanksgiving break one year to find my college dorm room flooded. Good that nothing worse or permanent happened, though.
