Austin weather, job hunt, Withrow

Everyone in Austin is freaked out by the weather. Wet roads and cold temperatures apparently equals terrible winter weather. Advisories all over the news, and everyone's talking about it.

I'm starting to go a little stir-crazy around this place without a job. It's been relatively easy to keep myself occupied, but I'm beginning to tire of driving around the town, of watching our six available channels, of knitting. Tomorrow, I'll be scouring the newspaper and updating (or, at least finishing) my resume. Monday, the job search begins.

Withrow came to Austin this weekend to hang out with me, Ross, and his friend Bobby. We ran around 6th Street last night, and I'm fairly certain I made friends with Bobby's girlfriend. It's so nice to have him around. He'd intended on spending a night in Oklahoma, but the weather prevented him from it. He says he's having such a good time, he may return to work a few days late.

In other (very good) news, my landlord rented out my little house, so no unnecessary rent payments for me!

Lawton next weekend. I'm very happy to return home!
