TGIF
When you are unhappy in your job, TGIF takes on a whole new meaning.
But I am not going to go on about that, because Friday!
My plans for the weekend include getting together with kistha and dthon, which will be the first major time since the great move which shall never be spoken of again(TM). The husband is playing paintball for 2 days, so I will, sadly, not being seeing much of him. However, I am positive a fun time will be had! We should talk about what we want to do. It's supposed to be kinda nice, so I'm wondering if a trip to the coast might be in the offing...we shall see. I also need to can another batch of salsa, so I may try to do that.
Anyway...
Fall TV has made me miss fandom keenly. I hope to be posting more regularly about my shows, and maybe even writing some fic. (There are definite shades of Sark to Dark!Ward on AoS, and you know that will be sure to inspire me.) I feel like because everyone at work uses Facebook and I got sucked into that den of evil, it pulled me away from the freedom of posting on my journal. I don't feel like FB is a place where I can go on about how much I loved last night's episode of something, or how much I hate this or that storyline and hope it ends soon. But FB is increasingly becoming even more evil!! nothing but ads, so I am cutting the cord and going back to journaling.
I noticed several weeks (months?) ago that LJ was doing some changes to their UI that made them seem...more like FB. I hated it, and I hated that I had to tell it every time I signed in to use the "old style". Dreamwidth feels like old-LJ to me, so I think I am here for the duration. However, my posts will appear both places, I will still get and reply to comments in both places, so effectively, it is like I am in both places at once! :)
