I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was warm and fuzzy, and full of good food and family times.  Mine was lots of good food, my family, including my cute little niece, and a trip to the theater to see Tangled, which is probably my second favorite Disney movie to date.  I need icons, but for now, I'll just say I'd love to see it again in the theater.

I love JD Robb "In Death" books!

I have just read 4 Ilona Andrews books:
Magic Burns, Magic Bites, Magic Bleeds, Magic Strikes. They are about Kate who investigates the death of her guardian. They have paranormal activity, sword fighting, shape-shifting, and vampires (not the cute ones), guilds, lions and tigers and bears. This is a fighting working to become who you were born to be series. I just love it!

I read 2 Black Dagger Brotherhood books:
Dark Lover and Lover Eternal...Vampire warrior class vamps who battle the slayers who are humans that are dead (not exactly zombies but they don't have hearts) and have hyper sex drives...LOL! This is a steamy series.

I watch the show Castle, so I read the 2 fictional books that the show made which are real books now: Naked Heat and Heat Wave by Richard Castle.

I am reading Anne of Green Gables (a pure delight because I love the movie) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (starting with background so far just go to the main character) right now. I like them both so far.

I will have to check into the 2 authors you mentioned. Are there any series or books that jump out at you that you think I just have to read?

JD Robb and Ilona Andrews are both AWESOME! If you haven't read the other Ilona Andrews series yet, I highly recommend it! "ON THE EDGE" and "BAYOU MOON". Loved them both.

Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series is absolutely the next one I'd recommend. Also Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series. Both are really good!
