Blargh!
Once again, I have had to "pause" the writing in order to do research. My brain feels like mush, and it's only lunch time. *sigh* Space pirates, you are lucky you speak to my muse so very strongly, or else I would call you 'too much damn trouble'.
Don't get me wrong. Research in and of itself is no problem, and usually inspires me....when it's not science. There's a reason I rejoiced back in college, when I walked out of the last math and last science classes, respectively, that I would ever have to take. The fact that I am willing to grit my teeth and brave wading through dry articles on the science of...well, anything, really...is a testament to my love of this book, these characters, and their damned science fiction setting.
This time, it's faster-than-light communication, not to be confused with faster-than-light travel. The two, it turns out, are totally different! Who knew?
