My laptop came today in the mail and it's black and a Dell and so pretty and I named it Lolita because it's me and honestly what else. I do hope it doesn't decide to act the name entirely though, because having an impetuous and bratty computer who always chews bubble gum would not be fun. But it's Lo without the Humbert, so she should be fine, he was always so oppressive anyway. I'm such a geek. I have, however, been dying to have my own computer since forever so I am excited as can be. It still needs some fixing up, and I have to procure the Microsoft Office kit for it somehow, and put on files and music and all that so it actually feels like mine and not just an empty box, but it is so pretty, and I love it already. Partly because it is mine and partly just because.
Also procured today were a printer and a USB thing, so I am pretty much set electronics-wise, I think.
University countdown's at 11 days. I talked to one of my roommates over MSN last night. She seems nice. But ridiculously boppy. Ridiculously in that always hyper and enthused sense. She's a fan of anime and video games and Anne Rice. We'll see how that goes.
