Yesterday morning, I noticed my flowers were covered in aphids. I did some research, and decided to go get ladybugs to eat the problem. We released them at dusk last night. It was fascinating to watch them. It got too dark to really keep watching them, but I was comforted by them just being here.
This morning, I glanced out on the balcony, and noticed a dragonfly on the railing. I called Joe out to see, and he saw another. After I started coffee, and made his breakfast, I looked out again (really fascinated with this) and there was a third sitting there with a fourth flying around. We created a food chain!! The ladybugs are everywhere. They made it over to the tomato plant, so that (hopefully) also means they worked their way over to the hanging pots we set down on the ground last night. Free buffet at our house!!!
Moving on. Mom's car got hit in a parking lot yesterday. She didn't notice it until she'd gone from an outlying store over to the actual mall. Obviously a hit & run. I don't think the damage is TOO much, but I don't think she gave me all the details. She was really flustered.
Hmmm. I had a few other odds & ends to talk about, and have done a fab-O job of forgetting them.
I will be working a quilt show later this week. The main focus is the quilts people make, but since the vendor I am working for will be there, there must also be supplies. Hopefully, I won't find anything I HAVE to have.
