What is a good topic for a blank verse sonnet? I've never written a sonnet before. I'm terrible at coming up with topics for random poems. I like to have a prompt. Should it be serious, or comedic? Descriptive or witty? Deep and symbolic or just good enough to get by? I feel that it should be good, since its a sonnet and all. Sonnet is just such an inspiring form. Probably just because I'm a theatre major and we have a slight obsession with Shakespeare...
This requires overnight contemplation I think.
Anyone have any ideas? Anne? Gabby? everyone else will be busy with their own sonnet ideas and will be no help to me i'm sure. Plus, they mostly don't read my lj cause I hardly ever post. Actually I don't know that anyone reads my lj. Oh well. Someone needs to remind me to renew my avl card... Otherwise I'll never get my Twain essay done...
