You never know how much light a plant blocks on your windowsill until you prune it. My god, it is like I'm back to June in the living room right now.
I just trimmed back the pepper bush and the perennial tomato.
Well I say perennial tomato, it is just a regular tomato that I pruned back to a few shoots near the base every year after it finishes its summer fruiting and kept coming back. I guess that is the technical definition of perennial though. I just let one shoot grow on a bit near the end of the growing period and it is next year's growth. It always pretty much slows to a crawl in terms of growth at this time of year.
