I'm blown away, sorta

I'm in more than a bit of a state of shock--both pieces were accepted for the upcoming Student Show. I met Pat in the Gallery when I went to enter my pieces; she was dropping off stuff for Karen and Radhe. One of Karen's bracelets (copper) made it in and both of Radhe's. There were no other jewelry entries. Pat helped me figure out what framed sizes I'd need. She told me she would vote for me. She did more than that. She directed other teachers' attention to my work and talked me up. My self portraits are on the 9x12 Strathmore, much smaller than (probably) any of the other drawings in there. Everyone else used 18x24. At least of what I saw. Pat also kept an ear open for conversation and comments about my work. Dan, she said, came in late and also talked up my work. To quote Pat, he said "she's slow, but she's great."

I'm not slow, I'm measured. Um, or something.

Now I have to figure out what color mattes and stuff to use. I have slightly less than two weeks.
