I just got a message from one of the Ravelry powers that be requesting to use photos of one of my
finished objects as THE photos for the page about that pattern in their database. They've done this once before, with Samantha's
knitted hedgehog, but I figured that was because I was the first person to put that pattern into the database, so mine were the only examples. This time, though, it's an
established pattern from Knitty.com that's already in the database, and lots of other people have done it... but apparently my version (or at least my pics of it) was deemed good enough to be The Example.
I'm sure it'll get replaced by a shinier one in due time, but... squee!
In other knitting news, I finished knitting my
recycled sari silk wrap/scarf/poncho last night. I need to block it to get it to stretch out a bit. I decided that, rather than seam it into a permanent poncho-shape, I'm going to sew buttons along one side, so that I can button up the seam to make a poncho (or, um, hipwrap) if I want, or leave it open to have as a wrap or scarf. I was so excited about finishing it, though, that I wore it to school as a scarf today. :)
